IE 9 and Clear Type AKA How to disable clear type in Internet Explorer 9. Might be solved!

Do you want to disable clear type on the new Internet Explorer 9? Unfortunatelly currently there is no way to do that! I know, it sucks! I hate it too. Clear Type stings my eyes!
I even tried adding below registry key! Nothing changed. It looks like Clear Type hardcoded to the IE 9.

Clear Type settings from IE 8
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\MULTIMEDIA\CLEARTYPE]
"UncheckedValue"="no"
"CheckedValue"="yes"
"PlugUIText"="@C:\\Windows\\System32\\inetcpl.cpl,-4734"
"RegPoliciesPath"="SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Main"
"RegPath"="SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Main"
"HKeyRoot"=dword:80000001
"HelpID"="iexplore.hlp#59999"
"RequiresReboot"=dword:00000001
"DefaultValue"="no"
"ValueName"="UseClearType"
"Text"="Always use ClearType for HTML"
"Type"="checkbox"
Update on 18/03/2011: After 3 days I've decided to remove IE9 from my computer. It is half cooked, has really bad UI and makes my eyes ichy!

I must say that ClearType is so horrible I can't stand it either. Microsoft has removed the "disable ClearType" option but fortunately there is still "IE9 uninstall" option.

I have to agree with you guys. I've been looking for a way to kill Cleartype in IE9 for more than an hour now... seems like there's no way to do it. I don't really use IE normally anyway... and I can see this version is flawed too. So yeah, let's all stick to Firefox and Chrome... better products anyway.

wboi's link (http://www.softwareninjas.ca/dwrite-dll-wrapper) looks genuine to me.

i din't try the wrapper dll but, all you need to do is download and extract it in to Internet Explorer's folder. It doesn't work on 64 bit version of IE yet. It is written by Oliver Dagenais and open sourced @ softwareninjas.kilnhg.com/.../DWrite-dll-Wrapper . He has forked the source code of Anti-Aliasing Tuner extension for Firefox (addons.mozilla.org/.../).

Mr. Dagenais have a blog ad http://oliiscool.blogspot.com and explaning why he wrote his wrapper @ oliiscool.blogspot.com/.../...-font-smoothing.html and @ blog.softwareninjas.ca/.../...rol-of-internet.html
